About Dr. Paley
Dr. Sarida Paley is a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialization in neuropsychology and psychoeducational assessment. Now in private practice for 15 years, Dr. Paley offers assessment services for children, university students, and adults. In addition to individuals and families, she works with schools and universities within the bay area, and has for the past 10 years contracted with gifted education programs where she provides on-site assessment services.
Sarida began her career as a public school teacher in NYC, during which time she also obtained her M.A. in education from New York University. After 10 additional years of working in the field of medical education, she pursued her doctorate degree in clinical psychology. She graduated with special interests in neuropsychological assessment and went on to complete her internship and post doctorate training in Neuropsychology at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) in San Jose, CA. While at SCVMC, she conducted neuropsychological assessments and therapy for patients with traumatic brain injury, attention and learning issues, and neurodegenerative disorders.
Prior to obtaining her doctorate degree, Dr. Paley was appointed as Associate Director of Surgical Education at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where she oversaw medical education programs for 10 years. During this period, she additionally worked as an educational consultant for medical education programs throughout the country, managing the program accreditation process, and running workshops on study and test-taking skills for medical students and residents.
